Final Drive Ratio

I have always felt that the mini is too strained on highway, which isn’t surprising given it’s standard 3.44:1 ratio. 3.1:1 or 2.9:1 is probably better, given the 1275cc engine. The cross-pin diff looks like a nice upgrade.

Engine Dissembling, Part 9

Continue stripping away the engine. Undid differential today. Nothing too difficult here except excessive amount of greasy dirt and the stubborn output shaft flange nut, which does require an impact driver and a decent 6 point socket.
